This flashlight is a great alternative to the very heavy, and energy intensive/inefficient flashlights which use C and D cell batteries. With just three triple-A batteries, a lightweight metal housing (does not specify type of metal) and a medium length, this flashlight remains very light and therefore more versatile. It does have a gasket in the end cap, and at the front, which will keep the water out. Also in the end cap is a powerful magnet. I stuck it to the refrigerator to test it and it really stuck on the side...you need not worry about this falling off. Plus, since there are lights on the side, you can use the magnet to hold the light for you when you need to work with both hands. It is very bright both at the front and the side. Three clicks on the sealed power button give white light through the front, the side, or red, blinking light from the side for getting attention. It also has a strap for your wrist to keep from dropping it. I really don't think this product could be any better. I received this product at a discount through a promotional offer and this is my absolute honest and unbiased review.
